Game News Xbox: After Starfield, another Microsoft exclusion postponed for several months
Definitely, the end of the year is going to be gloomy on the Microsoft exclusivity side! After the departure of Starfield, Redfall and STALKER 2: The Heart of Chornobyl for 2023, it is the turn of another exclusive from the Redmond firm to see its release date moved by several months.
One more game less for 2022
On paper, the end of 2022 should have been excellent for Microsoft and its Game Pass, since the American manufacturer could bet on the arrival of Redfall to punctuate its summer, or even on that of STALKER 2: The Heart of Chernobyl and especially Starfield, the space adventure from Bethesda Softworks. But unfortunately, for multiple reasons – some much more serious than others – the three promising titles have seen their release date shifted to 2023. However, to end its year, Microsoft could still count on the arrival games with less expensive developments such as As Dusk Falls, which has been available since July 19, Immortality, which will land on Game Pass on August 30, or Planet of Lana. Nevertheless for this production, there is a small change of program.
Planet of Lana, it’s not for this year
It was during E3 2021 that Planet of Lana came to seduce everyone with its obvious artistic fiber which is greatly inspired by the recognizable leg among a thousand of Studio Ghibli. From its revelation, the game signed by Thunderful, the publisher, and Wishfully, the developer, displayed entirely hand-painted decorations as well as a colorful duo. Unfortunately, the title which was to make us live an unforgettable adventure, and this, before the end of the year, sees its release date postponed by several months.
We’re sorry the development of Planet of Lana is taking longer than expected, but we promise the wait will be worth it. Planet of Lana is a project that we’ve been passionate about for a long time, and we want to be sure that when it’s finally released, people will have it in pristine condition. Plus, Game Pass users will be able to play it on launch day, which we’re excited about, as it means we can share it with as wide a fan base as possible! Adam Stjarnljus, director of Wishfully
You have understood it, to get your hands on Planet of Lana, you will have to wait patiently until the spring of the year 2023. Unfortunately, we don’t have any more details, except that the game will indeed be available on Game Pass at launch and that everything will be playable on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
