Company results

  • Agilent: The title gained more than 6% off session after the publication of the quarterly.
  • Carlsberg: The Danish brewer reported weaker-than-expected revenue for the second quarter as profits were hit by rising commodity and energy prices.
  • Swiss Life: The financial group generated 642 MCHF in profits in H1, a little better than expected. Management does not formulate numerical forecasts.
  • Uniper: The energy company announces a net loss of $12.2 billion due to the drop in Russian gas deliveries.

Important (and less important) announcements

  • Amazon criticizes the FTC’s “weighty” investigation into Prime. In addition, the group would have planned to increase the fees of sellers on its platform for the end of the year celebrations.
