Amazon Games is reporting stability and lag issues on Lost Ark and New World. Both games received separate messages to the community stating that their respective teams are aware of the issues occurring after community members began reporting issues and error messages.
Although the cause has not yet been identified and there is no ETA on the service improvements, the two teams promise to give an update when more information becomes available.
New World players have started reporting that they are getting a “lag detected” message and Community Manager Luxendra reported that the team is investigating and working on this issue, noting that lag and stability issues are occurring on several servers.
“We are aware that several servers have received the message “Lag Detected” and engineers decided to investigate this issue. [sic] are currently investigating.
We will update the situation as soon as we know more.”
A post on the official New World forum related to the Dry Tree server and reported that player characters were being teleported everywhere due to lag.
Around the same time the message was posted on the New World forums, Community Manager Roxx posted on the Lost Ark forum about similar issues the community is experiencing regarding lag and server disconnects:
“The team is aware of the current server lag and disconnection issues in all regions, and is currently investigating this situation. We appreciate the reports, and will keep players informed as the situation develops.”
There’s no word yet on what’s causing these issues, but given that Amazon Game Studios is publishing both games and similar issues are being reported for both games, it would make sense for things to be related. Although this is unconfirmed, and there is little information at this time, if you play either of these games, it would be a good idea to stay away and follow these official threads for an update.
