Microsoft cuts 10,000 jobs

Whether Microsoft dream of generative artificial intelligence, which the industry considers to be the new positive point, the reality is much harder for the employees of the Redmond giant, which has just announced the loss of 10,000 jobs.

The group also says it will take a $1.2 billion charge from its profits as its cloud computing customers reevaluate their spending and the company too prepares for a possible recession.

These layoffs, which should be effective next March, are in addition to the tens of thousands announced in recent months in the technology, media and entertainment sectors (Vodafone, CNN, Twitter, Amazon, Roku, Amazon, Disney , HBO Max…) which demoted after a period of strong growth during the pandemic.
