Dow Jones Index Hesitant on Futures, Microsoft Pulls Back on Earnings By

By Oliver Gray – U.S. stock futures, including the Dow Jones Index, were flat on Tuesday evening after major benchmarks ended the regular session on a lackluster as investors preparing for a deluge of corporate results throughout the week.

In extended trading, Microsoft (NASDAQ:) fell 1% after the company reported second-quarter earnings per share of $2.32, versus $2.30 expected, and revenue of 52.7. billion, versus $53.12 billion expected.

Intuitive Surgical (NASDAQ:) fell 9.3% after reporting Q4 earnings per share of $1.23, vs. $1.26 expected, and revenue of $1.66 billion , versus $1.68 billion expected.

During Wednesday’s session, investors will await results from companies such as Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE:), AT&T Inc (NYSE:), International Business Machines (NYSE:) and Boeing Co. (NYSE:).

In regular trading on Tuesday, the ended up 104.4 points or 0.3% at 33,734, the fell 2.9 points or 0.1% to 4,016.9 and the lost 30 .1 points or 0.3% at 11,334.3.
